Primarily, members of the Social Emotional Assets (Sea) Lab study the development of positive strengths and traits from early childhood through emerging adulthood.

The H.I.S. Study
This project focuses on the Hobbies, Interests, and Skills (H.I.S.) of men and masculine folk. The goal of this work is to have a better understanding of how men navigate their social world, how they engage in meaningful leisure activities, and they judge and evaluate the world around them.

Past SEA Lab Projects

Social Emotional Strengths in University Students
This project includes investigating positive and adaptive competencies in young adults which may benefit social, emotional, and academic functioning. Currently, we have 6 waves of longitudinal data on this project with over 1,200 unique cases. Variables includes personality, relationships, academic engagement, sense of belonging, coping strategies, and social emotional skills.
